Typography
as an art
The brief for this project was to make a visual piece that was based on a reading. 'My way to typography,' by Wolfgang Weingart. Weingart is a graphic designer who broke the rules of typography as he believed that typography is more than a means of communication. I used his ideology of using typography as an art, portraying the transition from the traditional typography to pushing the limits of readability to make it look like an art. The phrases used in this zine are from the same article, which communicates his typography's journey and how he transformed it.
