Where is home?
~ Dichotomy of Residence
This is a series of photo montages combined with images from New York and parts of India. It represents the dilemma of being two different yet same person I am in two countries.

True new york feeling
With airpords in ears in a subway - with a bunch of girls talking about their dating life - a single mother looking after her 2, three-year-old, - a tall guy in a neon green jacket rapping to gain people attention so he can have a diner that night - a couple standing at the door with their matching green coloured hats, holding each others hands and smiling through their eyes - That is what it feels like being in New York.

Brown town: New York City
From afar, this looks like a concrete jungle where dreams are made, but when I walk around Manhattan, I feel being swallowed by these rows and rows of tall buildings. An almost overwhelming feeling where people come to be someone, and I think that I don't do enough, that I would never be able to stand out amidst these immense towers.

Pushkar: The camel land
Pushkar is a small city situated in the state of Rajasthan, India. This city runs on tourism, which happens for one week yearly, where nomads, cattle breeders visit here to sell mammals, mainly camels. In the past few years, thanks to social media, these cities have more tourists than the buyer, or even the camels itself. The city welcomes tourists from all over the world; they see the rural side of India, as shown in the movies. Here is my experience of being one of those tourists, walking around with my camera.

Smear In Motion
During the summer of 2020, amidst pandemic, I wanted to take up an analog activity and started experimenting with resin art. Over time with my cousins' help, I set up an Instagram account, and in no time, we started getting orders. We experimented with home decor products and then expanding to paintings. It was a learning curve handling a small business that included making new products, photographing them, designing packaging, and managing shipping.
Designed the identity, packaging and shot all images.

8/36 Days of type
These videos are my experiment with creating a stop motion video, which is mostly shot and edited in my short term home during my internship in Mumbai. This project was a cross-section for my love of letters and photography.
